I'm thinking of getting a dog and never had one before

I walk a lot and need the devotion.
Nothing too big and nothing too small and yappy. Something in the middle, what do you reckon?
Next door have a goldador (never knew such a thing existed) and that seems about right.
Thoughts?

Research properly and if still keen, get one
Nothing beats a good hound, wonderfully loyal and a joy to have around - remember that the bigger the dog, the bigger the delivery when they cop the shits

Get a beagle or a spaniel mate. Spaniels are hard work though

Can't go far wrong with a border terrier, ours is a great family dog. Full of character but pretty easy to handle.

If both you and the missus are at work all day don't bother... you won't have any house left and then a month later you will have the raving hump with the dog (even tho' its not his fault) next the dog will be in a shelter with the label of `House wrecker' around it's neck...
.... otherwise get a Black Lab.... they rock

We have Eurasiers, breed created for perfection
Broadly achieved in our two muts, but research first, they have specific needs
In fact, all dogs do, so please make sure that you understand the needs and that they fit with you before doing the easy bit of buying any dog

If you don't mind spending the rest of its life scraping up it's shit up off the pavements and parks.
If you don't mind your house smelling of Dog.
If you don't mind putting up with its barking
If you don't mind your clothes and furniture covered in hair.
If you don't mind spending about £30 a week to keep it then get a goldador otherwise buy a goldfish
